Research, planning, and outlining are most helpful to me in the writing process as they provide a strong foundation for clarity, organization, and argument development. Research helps gather reliable evidence and diverse perspectives to support claims, while planning ensures the essay is focused on its purpose and audience. The outline organizes ideas logically, preventing confusion and enabling smoother transitions between points. By breaking the writing process into manageable steps, these tools save time and reduce stress. Applying this approach, I can use research to deepen my understanding of systemic racism in healthcare, plan by defining the essay’s scope, and create a detailed outline to ensure my arguments flow logically and persuasively, resulting in a coherent and impactful essay.
